How the heck does this work?
As an aussie it seems engrained in my blood to love funny shirts, meme shirts, sarcastic shirts, shirts with my favourite TV and movies quotes. As displayed in my first logo for what I originally called the website "Memeium Premwear".
We go to a mates house, everybody has a good laugh at the tee and its an absolute blast.
But I recently discovered that so many funny shirt websites, and social media sales pages have been hocking cheaply made, ill fitting dropshipped tees. And although there's nothing wrong with making a quick buck, I just hate the idea that there isn't much originality anymore. So I thought I'd put my passion to the test and try and sell some tees!
So lets break down some steps for you cunnies out there:
@premiummemewear Funny tshirt. Would you buy it? #funny #dtf #dtftransfers #rileyreid #haha #meme #straightouttacompton #fyp #foryou ♬ Fall Back - Lithe
Step 1: I order the Direct to Film transfer from Brisbane, the prices range depending how many designs I am ordering and if I am getting a large roll with designs, or a single sheet. And i cannot afford to spend thousands on a sublimation printer. For those interested, I use Kustom Printing Apparel & Merchandise - https://www.kpamco.com.au/ and they have been absolutely phenomenal to deal with.
Step 2: The worst part, I wait. The sweet thing is the film rolls usually take 4 days, so it's pretty awesome.
Step 3: I do not pre print the tees! As a small home business, supporting a young family of 5, I cannot afford to pre print heaps of designs that I think will sell well, if nobody else likes at all, then I'm stuck with a whole bunch of tees.
Step 4: BONUS Streuth this bloke is talking a bit innit he?
Step 5: Some cunny orders a tee, and I run to the missus like a 6 year old to tell her, and she sits there politely nodding, pretending to care.
Step 6: I frigging ensure I have the size, or order the size shirt. Then I ramp up the heat press because it's now DTF time! If I don't have the design on DTF, I'll order that also.
Step 7: If it's a shirt for me, or if I made an extra, I wear the thing!
Step 8: I ship it out to ya!
